So first, I have an apology. Substack just created a new scheduler and I accidentally sent out the previous newsletter 10 days early. It was intended to be my New Years Post. And to cover all the days of the season, I certainly hope everyone had a nice Christmas Day. And most importantly, I want to wish a very happy birthday to my wonderful wife and traveling companion. Thank you for always being ready for adventure!!
But now that I have wished everyone a happy 2023, it is a good time to mention what is ahead for the coming year.
I suspect posting will slow down in January and February. I have a bit more to say about our time in Alabama. I am also excited about a winter driving trip to Arizona that is coming soon. I will be covering that adventure which should also include some time spent in New Mexico.
The last time I was in Arizona, I flew and returned just weeks before the reality of Covid became apparent. There was one case in the Phoenix at the time and I remember wondering about it with no idea of the reality it was about to impose on all of our lives.
You can expect more RV travels in the spring and also some posts that look back on memorable trips in 2020 and 2021. I also hope to cover a few RV specific topics, my favorite gadgets, travelling with a pet and as always a bit of American history. Thanks for your support and please forward to anyone else that might enjoy this newsletter.
Below are some of my favorite photos from 2022.
Happy New Year!
I enjoy reading the newsletter and looking at your photos. I'm not able to travel, only in my mind. :)
Here is the end of my New Year's poem:
I embrace hope as I contemplate,
Passing the strait gate,
To the most blessed place,
I accept that my faith,
Will raise me to the highest state.
